Stone paper is an environmentally friendly material made from recycled paper fibres and phenolic resins. Its natural texture is reminiscent of the feel of paper. It is used, in particular, in worktops, bathroom vanities, wall cladding, furniture and other indoor and outdoor applications. It offers excellent resistance to wear and tear, water, stains and UV rays.

The set comes in a black cowhide leather case with compartments, a flap, a belt-style strap and the Le Tarn logo.

Le Tarn table knife

Le Tarn table knife is a handcrafted knife designed to combine durability, cutting efficiency and elegance. Designed to be used for both everyday meals and special occasions, it offers a comfortable grip and a precise cut thanks to its perfectly sharpened blade.

Inspired by the Tarn Valley and the richness of its terroir, this knife embodies the identity of a bountiful, authentic region with deep-rooted ties to traditional craftsmanship.

With its sturdy, sharp blade, forged from food-grade stainless steel, Le Tarn has been designed to be a true everyday companion.

Its clean, even cut makes it particularly well-suited to meat, whilst also looking perfectly at home on a beautifully laid table. Its understated, authentic design makes it a knife that is as a pleasure to use as it is to display.

An X46Cr13 stainless steel blade

The blade is made from X46Cr13 stainless steel, a grade of steel specially suited to cutlery applications and offering good resistance to corrosion.

It features a particularly sharp edge, delivering a precise, clean and consistent cut. Its robust design is intended to ensure it can be used on a daily basis whilst maintaining good cutting performance over time.

In particular, X46Cr13 offers:

  • good corrosion resistance
  • excellent sharpening properties
  • good mechanical strength
  • an effective and long-lasting cutting edge when properly maintained

The blade is designed to strike a balance between ease of use, cutting efficiency and durability.

A handcrafted knife designed to last

Each knife is the result of craftsmanship carried out in the Tarn.

This manufacturing process is part of an approach that prioritises quality, functionality and durability. The care taken at every stage of production gives each knife its unique character and distinct identity.

Le Tarn table knives come with a 5-year guarantee.

To keep the cutting edge, blade and handle in good condition over the years, regular maintenance is recommended. In particular, the cutting edge must be maintained regularly to ensure it remains fully effective.

When the handle is made of wood, it is important to avoid prolonged contact with moisture. Knives with wooden handles should not be washed: they should simply be wiped clean after use.

To nourish and protect the wood, it can be treated occasionally with a natural wax, which helps to preserve its appearance and qualities over time.

With the right care, your Le Tarn knife is designed to last for years and become a true companion for your meals and moments of togetherness.
